Nippon Cargo Airlines (NCA) and mas have established a new partnership to expand their freight network in North America and across trans-pacific routes.
Under the agreement, effective from late October, NCA will pre-lease cargo space on mas-operated flights between Los Angeles and Guadalajara, and Los Angeles and Mexico City. Conversely, mas will utilize cargo space on NCA-operated flights between Narita and Los Angeles.
Hiroyuki Homma, president and chief executive officer of NCA, stated that the partnership with mas helps the airline better meet customer demand and strengthen its global network. "The Mexican market maintains stable demand in the automotive and electronics sectors, while cargo volume between Asia and Mexico continues to increase," he said.
Homma expects this partnership to help NCA expand its presence in Mexico and Latin America, while continuing to seek deeper cooperation opportunities with mas.

Robert Van De Weg, chief executive officer of mas, praised the network expansion with NCA — an airline known for its reliability and operational efficiency. "The new service helps us better serve customers in Japan and Asian markets," he said.
Mas has recently expanded its fleet and partnerships. In early December, logistics company Geodis announced a new transportation agreement with Atlas Air and mas, allowing for smooth freight forwarding from Shanghai and Hong Kong to the Latin American flight network via Guadalajara. Previously, in September, mas added two Airbus A330 aircraft, converted from passenger to cargo, leased from Titan Aviation Leasing, to increase transport capacity in the region.
Nippon Cargo Airlines is a Japanese cargo airline specializing in trans-pacific routes, serving major industries such as electronics and automotive.
Mas is a Latin America-based cargo airline, focused on connecting the region with North America and Asia, and rapidly expanding its fleet and transport network.
