Speaking at the event, Le Hoang Diep Thao, founder and CEO of TNI King Coffee, shared that coffee has been present in Vietnam for over 150 years. Originating in the Central Highlands, today over 600,000 hectares of coffee cultivation support millions of households. Vietnamese coffee beans are exported to over 100 countries, contributing billions of US dollars to the economy. However, the value of Vietnamese coffee extends beyond production volume or statistics; it lies in its unique identity, the spirit of persistent labor, and the pride distilled into each coffee bean.
"This festival is not just an event, but a long-term journey to preserve, enhance, and spread the sustainable values of Vietnamese coffee, especially the Robusta heritage, within the global coffee landscape," she stated.

According to Nguyen Van Loc, Director of the Lam Dong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, coffee is not merely an agricultural product or a beverage; it has become a cultural symbol and a heritage tied to the history and identity of many nations. In Vietnam, Lam Dong is both a region for high-quality coffee production and a hub for innovation, deep processing, coffee appreciation culture, and coffee tourism.
The "global coffee heritage 2025 – first edition" festival marks the beginning of a long-term strategy to position Lam Dong as Vietnam's coffee capital. Leveraging its natural advantages, highland climate, and rich history, the province is transforming from a key production area into an integrated center for the coffee value chain. This contributes to increasing added value, fostering sustainable development, and spreading the unique identity of Vietnamese coffee worldwide. "Through experiential spaces, exhibitions, cultural exchanges, and international conferences, the festival will create an open forum. Here, Vietnamese coffee is placed within the broader flow of global coffee heritage, allowing coffee values to be discussed, connected, and shared with distinctive coffee cultures from many countries," he explained.
