NCB reduces loan interest rates by 0.5% across all segments

National Commercial Joint Stock Bank (NCB) has implemented a policy to reduce annual loan interest rates by 0.5%, applicable to all loan packages for individual and corporate customers, effective from 11/8.

For individual customers, the reduction applies to diverse loan needs, including mortgages, production-business loans, private home purchases, and secured consumer loans. Following the adjustment, the lowest preferential rate starts from 8.49% annually.

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) will also benefit from a uniform 0.5% reduction across all loan terms. Short-term rates start from 10% annually for the first three months. NCB prioritizes funding for green projects, digital economy initiatives, construction and installation companies, and building material suppliers, especially those involved in national key projects.

For large-scale enterprises operating within chains and ecosystems, NCB also applies a 0.5% annual interest rate reduction, with the lowest rate starting from 10.45% annually. This supports businesses in implementing large infrastructure projects, particularly national key works.

Previously, NCB participated in financing and arranging capital for many major projects, including: the Convention and Exhibition Center Project, Theater, Park, and APEC infrastructure; the Ben Nha Rong - Khanh Hoi Cultural Park and public green areas along the Saigon River project; and the City Center Square and Administrative Center projects in Ho Chi Minh City.

The bank anticipates that this reduction in capital costs will empower businesses with more financial autonomy, enabling them to sustain and expand production and business activities, enhance project implementation capabilities, and integrate more deeply into value chains.

"Adjusting interest rates is one of the proactive solutions NCB is implementing to unlock resources for customers, especially the business community, amid strong economic growth," an NCB representative stated. "NCB aims to provide timely and targeted capital, contributing to strong, sustainable production-business growth and economic expansion."

In addition to digital banking solutions, NCB continuously develops varied credit programs for businesses, addressing needs ranging from working capital, production-business, and expansion investments to specific sectors such as manufacturing, export, public investment projects, Official Development Assistance (ODA), and security and defense.

In 2026, the bank will also intensify the implementation of non-credit solutions, offering diverse incentives for transaction fees and international payments, thereby helping businesses enhance capital efficiency. Concurrently, NCB is strengthening dialogue with the business community and suppliers across the three regions, directly listening to their needs and challenges, and collaborating with customers to find appropriate solutions.

Through effective policies aligned with the general development pace, NCB is fulfilling its commitment to accompany customers, especially businesses and sectors that serve as growth drivers for the economy.
