VinFast sells nearly 21,800 electric vehicles in July

VinFast's electric vehicle sales rose 21% from June, with the company delivering 21,781 cars to customers, bringing the year-to-date total to almost 137,700 units.

July saw the VF 3 urban electric vehicle emerge as VinFast's top-selling model, spearheading the Vietnamese automaker's sales. During the month, VinFast delivered 5,564 VF 3 units, bringing the total sold since the beginning of the year to 29,345 units.

Following closely, the VinFast VF 5 and its Herio Green variant achieved combined sales of 4,407 units, with cumulative sales from the beginning of this year reaching 24,574 units. These models primarily target first-time car buyers or those in the transport service business. Ranking third in VinFast's product range was the Limo Green, with 4,404 units sold in July. Its cumulative sales reached 32,331 units, making it the company's best-selling model year-to-date.

VinFast's smallest vehicle, the Minio Green, recorded sales of 2,429 units in July after the company adjusted its price to 188 million VND, making it comparable to the VF 2. This two-door, four-seat model attracts customers due to its accessible price, potentially serving as an alternative to motorbikes for daily inner-city travel.

Beyond these top performers, VinFast reported stable sales for its family vehicles, the VF 6 (1,993 units) and VF MPV7 (1,674 units). Additionally, larger premium models such as the VF 7, VF 8, and VF 9, along with the EC Van cargo vehicle, actively contributed to the company's overall performance.

This robust performance has led to a new record for VinFast in the domestic market, according to Duong Thi Thu Trang, Deputy General Director of Global Automotive Sales at VinFast. "This demonstrates a strong demand for new purchases and a significant shift from petrol to electric vehicles. The upcoming deliveries of the new generation VF 8 and VF 2 will help VinFast's sales surge further in the remaining months of the year," she stated.

Looking ahead, VinFast anticipates further sales growth with upcoming vehicle deliveries. The company expects to deliver the first batches of the new generation VF 8 to pre-ordering customers in August. Furthermore, VinFast revealed that the VF 2 has received nearly 29,000 orders, with deliveries anticipated from September.
