In the current landscape, data, technology, and customer experience are crucial for competitiveness. Accelerating digital transformation helps aviation and catering businesses improve operational efficiency and adapt to evolving market demands.
As a leading airline catering provider, NCS operates a complex production and service system. This system requires coordination across many departments, including operational management, production, flight service, finance and accounting, general administration, and technical infrastructure management.
This practical requirement led NCS to launch the "comprehensive digital transformation and strategic consulting project." The project aims to assess digital maturity and build a transformation roadmap for the upcoming period. It also serves as a preparation for NCS to adapt to market changes and long-term technology development trends.
Nguyen Van Dung, General Director of NCS, stated at the kickoff ceremony that digital transformation is a strategic direction for the company's new development phase. He emphasized that the project goes beyond implementing technology or digitizing existing processes. Its goal is to build a modern management platform, enabling faster decision-making, more efficient operations, and enhanced adaptability to business environment fluctuations.

NCS leadership expects the project to provide a clear view of the current situation. It will identify improvement opportunities and establish a feasible digital transformation roadmap tailored to NCS's resources and the unique operational characteristics of the airline catering industry.
Le Hung Cuong, General Director of FPT Digital, FPT Corporation, highlighted NCS's strong advantages for successful digital transformation. These include the leadership's determination and the staff's readiness for change. Cuong affirmed FPT's commitment to supporting NCS throughout the project. FPT will ensure consulting recommendations are based on NCS's operational realities while adhering to current technology trends and advanced management methods.

The project, planned for about 150 days, consists of two main phases: current state assessment and strategy/roadmap development. In the initial phase, FPT Digital experts will conduct on-site surveys and work directly with NCS leadership and key departments. The survey will focus on evaluating business processes, technology platforms, data, governance mechanisms, coordination methods, and current operational challenges.
The project will assess NCS's digital maturity across six pillars: customers, strategy, technology, operations, culture, and data. Digital transformation experts consider this a comprehensive assessment model. It helps companies clearly define their current position, identify improvement gaps, and prioritize future investments for digital transformation.
The assessment results will form the basis for the NCS Digital Transformation Project 2026-2028, with an orientation extending to 2038. This includes a list of priority initiatives, an implementation roadmap, investment budget, KPI system, and a suitable governance model. NCS leadership emphasized that digital transformation is a collective effort, not solely the responsibility of the IT department or a specific team. Successful project implementation requires active participation from leadership, unit heads, and every employee. Each department is an essential link in the change process.
Upcoming activities at NCS will include extensive surveys, interviews, specialized workshops, and training related to digital transformation. These opportunities will allow experts to gain a deeper understanding of the company's operations. They will also enable staff to directly share challenges, propose initiatives, and collaboratively build a digital future for NCS. NCS anticipates that this process will gradually foster a digital mindset, a culture of innovation, and a spirit of continuous improvement throughout the system.
