The National Business Registration Portal indicates that Green and Smart Mobility Joint Stock Company (Green SM) appointed a new chief executive on 16/6. Nguyen Van Thanh resigned from the position for personal reasons, having served for over three years. Nguyen Quoc Tuan, born in 1977, has taken over the role. Green SM has not yet released detailed information about its new chief executive.
Nguyen Van Thanh was appointed chief executive of Green SM in 3/2023, coinciding with the company's establishment. He joined the Vingroup ecosystem in 2019, where his previous roles included deputy chief executive of VinBus and deputy chief executive of advertising and sales for VinFast.
From 2016 to 2019, Thanh held management roles at companies like Cargill Nutrition and Lazada Logistics. Four years ago, Forbes recognized the former Green SM chief executive in its "Under 30 Asia Class Of 2022" list, acknowledging influential entrepreneurs under 30 in Asia.

Billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong founded Green SM in 2023 with an initial charter capital of 3,000 billion VND. The company's capital has since expanded to over 43,000 billion VND, and it is currently planning an initial public offering (IPO).
Pham Thu Huong, wife of Pham Nhat Vuong, serves as Green SM's chairman. The company initially focused on taxi and ride-hailing services, exclusively utilizing VinFast vehicles. Subsequently, the business diversified its offerings to include: food delivery, parcel delivery, urban transport, and electric car and motorcycle rentals.
The ride-hailing company operates in 34 provinces and cities across the country and has expanded its services internationally to markets such as: India, Laos, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Mordor Intelligence reported that Green SM surpassed Grab and Be to become the leader in Vietnam's 4-wheel ride-hailing segment in Q4/2025, holding a 51,5% market share based on gross merchandise value (GMV).
