OPES honored for the third time at Insurance Asia Awards

OPES received the "Innovation of the Year - Claims Settlement" award for its Fast Track automated claims feature, marking its third recognition at the Insurance Asia Awards ceremony on 7/7.

Fast Track is an automated claims processing feature specifically designed for oto physical damage insurance. Integrated into the OPES app, it aims to significantly reduce claims processing times. Customers can submit a claim in three steps: create a request, capture 360-degree photos of the vehicle, upload documents, and receive the claims result.

This process eliminates the need for users to prepare physical documents, wait for assessors, or make phone calls to inquire about claim status. The entire progress is updated in real-time, keeping customers informed of their claim's processing stage.

The award's international judging panel noted that, thanks to Fast Track, customers in Vietnam received insurance compensation within 30 minutes, a first for the country.

An OPES representative stated that the platform is built with an "AI-first" approach, integrating artificial intelligence into the entire claims processing workflow. As soon as a customer submits images of the damage, the system identifies the damage, estimates repair costs, cross-references historical data to verify validity, and detects any unusual signs or fraud risks. Process automation technology further supports smoother claim operations, reducing manual processing steps for standard cases.

The application of AI helps reduce claims processing time by approximately 50% compared to traditional methods. For common and less complex claims, which constitute about 60% of total claims, the system can process them almost instantly.

Nguyen Duc Hoai, General Director of OPES, stated that the award recognizes the company's efforts in applying technology to its claims settlement process.

"OPES views technology as a tool to elevate the customer experience, aiming to build an insurance model that provides fast, transparent, and fair claims settlement," Hoai said. "Fast Track is a significant step, reflecting OPES's long-term direction in creating new standards for digital insurance in Vietnam."

In 2025, OPES's gross written premium revenue exceeded 4.800 billion VND, an 84% increase from the previous year. Pre-tax profit reached 638 billion VND, up 38%. As a company within the VPBank financial ecosystem, OPES has access to a nationwide customer base of 30 million across various sectors, including banking, securities, and consumer finance. This support enables the company to diversify its business models, products, and services to suit different customer segments.

The Insurance Asia Awards is an annual award program for insurance companies in the Asia-Pacific region. Previously, OPES received accolades such as "AI Application Initiative of the Year," "Digital Insurer of the Year," and "oto Insurance Initiative of the Year."

The company is currently among the top 10 most reputable non-life insurance companies in Vietnam for 2025; it also made the top 500 fastest-growing enterprises in Vietnam, leading the insurance sector, as announced by Vietnam Report.
