Prudential expands 'Pru Peace of Mind, Healthy Living' journey

Prudential Vietnam launched its "Pru Peace of Mind, Healthy Living" term life insurance product, broadening health protection solutions to empower customers in managing life's risks.

According to a company representative, following the expanded hospital cash benefit product launched in March to help customers ease financial strain during treatment, the company continues to extend its "Pru Peace of Mind, Healthy Living" journey with the "Pru Peace of Mind, Healthy Living" term life insurance product. This product is designed for simplicity, clarity, accessibility, and focuses on core protection needs.

With a reasonable premium, customers receive essential life insurance benefits. They can also enhance health protection through accompanying insurance products for greater peace of mind in daily life. Customers can flexibly combine additional solutions related to healthcare, hospital cash benefits, critical illness, or accidents. This allows them to proactively add layers of protection by combining accompanying insurance products for healthcare, hospital cash benefits, critical illness, or accidents, thereby building a comprehensive protection plan for themselves and their families.

The "Pru Peace of Mind, Healthy Living" term life insurance product is designed with three key criteria: easy accessibility, flexibility to meet protection needs, and the capability to integrate multiple layers of health and financial protection. This combination of foundational financial security and healthcare solutions is expected to help customers better prepare for the increasingly unpredictable risks of modern life.

Mr. Phung Ba Khang, Deputy General Director of Customer, Marketing and Products at Prudential Vietnam, stated that family peace of mind stems not only from preparing for treatment costs but also from maintaining financial stability during major life events. He noted that the company is broadening its focus from health protection and medical expenses to long-term financial risks. Term life insurance solutions, in this context, serve as a foundational layer of protection. These highly flexible solutions empower customers to proactively build a multi-tiered protection system, integrating healthcare safeguards for themselves and their families.

World Bank data from 2023 indicates that out-of-pocket expenses for Vietnamese individuals still constitute about 38% of total healthcare expenditure. This highlights that actual hospital fees often represent just the tip of the "iceberg" of costs when health risks emerge. Many families continue to face significant financial pressure when unexpected treatment and healthcare needs arise.

Beyond immediate treatment costs, numerous longer-term pressures arise, including income disruption, living expenses, family care responsibilities, and impacted financial plans. For young families and breadwinners, a major health event not only affects the present but also jeopardizes the family's future stability. Recognizing this, Prudential Vietnam is committed to developing multi-layered protection solutions, enabling customers to proactively prepare for various health and financial risks.

A company representative affirmed that the ongoing expansion of health protection solutions underscores Prudential Vietnam's long-term commitment to supporting customers. This commitment encompasses both financial protection and fostering peace of mind and stability for family life.
