The two-day event, held on 6-7/6, gathered financial institutions, banks, technology companies, and enterprises. It attracted over 120,000 attendees.
Prudential Vietnam, a life insurance enterprise, partnered with this year's event. At the program, the company presented experiential activities on insurance, healthcare, and personal financial planning, reflecting the significant shift of financial services towards a digital environment.
After seven years as "Cashless Day", the 2026 program expanded to become Digital Finance Day. This change reflects a goal to not only promote cashless payments but also to raise awareness of digital financial services in daily life.
Within the event, Prudential provided a consultation and interactive experience space for attendees. Visitors explored financial protection, healthcare, insurance contract management, and customer support services available on digital platforms.

The company also showcased technology applications in insurance operations, ranging from cashless payments and contract information management to automating customer service processes. The aim is to provide users with more convenient, transparent, and proactive access to services.
On the same day, at the "Smart Payments in the Digital Age" seminar, Phung Ba Khang, Deputy General Director of Customer, Marketing and Product Division, Prudential Vietnam, discussed digital transformation in insurance and the role of insurance in personal financial risk management.
According to Prudential's "Financial Wellbeing Index" report, which surveyed over 7,000 people across eight Asian markets, Vietnam leads the region in current financial security. However, only 40% of young people in the most financially confident group stated they could handle a large unexpected expense. Additionally, 37% anticipate needing to continue earning income into retirement.

Khang emphasized that current financial confidence does not equate to future readiness. Beyond savings, individuals and families require risk management solutions to protect their long-term goals.
A Prudential representative stated that participating in Digital Finance Day allows the company to increase engagement with the public while contributing to enhanced understanding of personal finance and insurance amid digitalization.
