Sagomed partners with NuboMed to develop smart hospital solutions in Vietnam

Sagomed and NuboMed will implement smart medication, medical supply, and nursing management solutions, contributing to digital transformation in domestic hospitals.

In late June, Sagomed and NuboMed signed an exclusive strategic cooperation agreement to introduce smart hospital solutions to the Vietnamese market. Under this agreement, Sagomed will serve as the exclusive partner, responsible for market development, consulting, implementation, and support of NuboMed’s smart hospital solutions in Vietnam.

This collaboration also marks Sagomed’s expansion into the smart hospital solutions sector, adding to its ecosystem of offerings for healthcare facilities.

A key feature of this ecosystem is the intelligent closed-loop management model, which seamlessly connects medication, medical supply management, and patient care processes on a unified data platform. The solutions are designed with an open architecture, capable of integrating with existing HIS, EMR, and ERP systems, gradually forming a data-driven hospital operation model.

In the first phase of cooperation, Sagomed will focus on implementing three key solution groups:

Smart pharmacy enables smart medication management, automating dispensing, storage, and traceability processes. This contributes to enhanced patient safety and optimized pharmacy operations.

Smart inventory is a smart medical supply management solution, providing real-time inventory tracking, improving traceability, inventory control, and reducing resource loss.

Smart nursing provides smart nursing care, standardizing medication dispensing and patient care processes. It reduces manual workload for nursing staff, thereby improving service quality and operational efficiency at hospitals.

According to Ms. Cam Thi Thu Hien, general director of Sagomed, many hospitals in Vietnam have invested in management systems such as HIS, LIS, and EMR. However, core operational processes like medication, medical supply management, and internal hospital logistics still rely heavily on manual operations. This represents a gap that smart hospital solutions can address, helping to enhance management efficiency and the quality of healthcare services.

"Smart hospitals are no longer a future trend but are becoming a competitive capability for healthcare facilities. Our partnership with NuboMed is a strategic step to help hospitals realize that vision in Vietnam", Ms. Hien stated.

According to a Sagomed representative, the cooperation with NuboMed is a step in the company's strategy to expand its solution ecosystem, alongside the fields of healthcare infrastructure, medical devices, and medical IT. In the coming time, Sagomed will continue to develop its smart hospital ecosystem by expanding solutions such as smart ward, medical internet of things, hospital logistics automation, and smart hospital management platforms, accompanying healthcare facilities in their digital transformation and the building of new-generation hospitals.

NuboMed is a medical technology company headquartered in Newport Beach, California, United States, with a network of offices in Singapore, China, France, and Saudi Arabia. NuboMed's smart hospital ecosystem is currently implemented in over 3,000 healthcare facilities with over 100,000 smart devices operating globally.

Established in 2010, Sagomed is a company operating in the field of medical equipment and solutions in Vietnam. The company provides solutions for healthcare facilities, from consulting, design, and equipment supply to implementation, training, and technical support. Sagomed is currently developing a solution ecosystem across four areas: healthcare infrastructure, medical devices, smart hospital, and medical IT, aiming to accompany hospitals in their infrastructure modernization and digital transformation processes.

The cooperation with NuboMed not only expands Sagomed's solution portfolio but also positions it as a strategic partner to support hospitals in building smart hospital models. This aims to improve operational efficiency and patient care quality.
