Over 40 years ago, Le Loi Street (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) was not as bustling as it is now. In that peaceful atmosphere, the Tan Tan shop emerged with a simple setup: an old glass cabinet, a fan, and yellow lighting. Yet, many people stopped to admire the neatly arranged and polished watches.
The shop's founder said, "That's how we began our journey to win over watch lovers. Even if customers only inquired about prices, our staff always greeted them respectfully. For Tan Tan, selling a timepiece has never been just a transaction. We uphold a guiding principle: once we hold a customer's watch, we accompany them throughout their entire ownership journey."

With every watch purchase, enthusiasts received a warranty card printed on a regular typewriter, featuring handwritten notes and a promise: free battery replacements, complimentary cleaning, and free labor for repairs, charging only for parts (if needed).
Some Tan Tan customers carefully kept their warranty cards in their wallets, while others forgot about them, only rediscovering them 5 or 6 years later. The cards might be faded and worn, but upon presentation, the service remained as good as the first day. "It's a small thing, we're happy to do it for free," was a common phrase from Tan Tan's technical team, without customers needing to ask.

Back then, few considered "after-sales service," with many stores focusing solely on sales. However, Tan Tan maintained its unwavering principle: a customer's watch should be cared for as if it were their own.
"We don't just fulfill the warranty; we go beyond it. Customers returning after two years with minor issues still receive free repairs. Instead of a 6-month warranty like many other brands, we extend it to a year," the founder explained.
Without extensive advertising or promotions, the Tan Tan team simply informed customers that anyone who purchased a watch would receive meticulous care, like family. Over the years, the brand witnessed a significant number of returning customers who valued their repair expertise and professional service, alongside new customers arriving through referrals.
Several international brands chose Tan Tan watches as their first authorized distributor in Vietnam, including Citizen (in 1999), Movado (2003), and Bulova (2015).
From the first handwritten warranty card, the company has now established a standardized warranty system with Swiss equipment, international procedures, and a highly experienced technical team. But their spirit remains the same: to serve as they did in the beginning.

"40 years have passed, and many things have changed. We are fortunate to still have many returning customers, holding their old warranty cards. Without needing to say much, a single look of trust is enough to warm a craftsman's heart. It's those small warranty cards that have retained customers and taken us as far as we could possibly go," a Tan Tan representative added.
