Techcombank honored as 'best bank in Vietnam' for sixth consecutive year

Techcombank received the 'best bank in Vietnam 2026' title from Euromoney at the Euromoney awards for excellence, marking its sixth consecutive year receiving the award.

The Euromoney awards for excellence ceremony was held in Singapore on 10/9. This annual award program for the financial industry assesses banks and financial institutions across various markets. The awards are selected through a rigorous, independent due diligence process adhering to global standards, conducted by a team of experienced editors and analysts.

This year, the program received applications from over 700 organizations in 125 countries and territories. Outperforming many competitors, Techcombank was honored alongside major regional names such as DBS, UOB, Maybank, BCA, and Kasikornbank.

According to Euromoney, Techcombank was highly recognized for its robust financial foundation, risk management capabilities, technological strength, brand value, and effectively implemented customer-centric strategy.

Louise Bowman, Euromoney editor, noted that long-term investment in technology, data, and people has enabled Techcombank to expand its service capabilities and deepen customer engagement, establishing it as one of the most comprehensive business models in Vietnam.

With this award, Techcombank also became the only Vietnamese bank simultaneously recognized as the "best bank in Vietnam" by three international financial organizations: Euromoney, FinanceAsia, and Global Finance in 2026. This marks the third consecutive year (2024-2026) Techcombank has received this triple recognition.

This recognition comes as Techcombank continues to expand its customer base and maintain business growth. In 2025, the bank acquired an additional 2.7 million customers, bringing its total to over 18 million, while also enhancing personalized experiences through data and its service ecosystem.

In the first six months of 2026, pre-tax profit reached 18.5 trillion VND, a 22.5% increase year-on-year. Its return on assets (ROA) is among the highest in the industry, while its non-performing loan (NPL) ratio stands at 1.15%.

Regarding brand and customer experience, Techcombank topped the brand health index (BEI) in the banking sector in Q1/2026, according to a NielsenIQ survey. Its customer satisfaction score (NPS) reached 92 points, placing it among industry leaders.

Nguyen Anh Tuan, deputy CEO and head of retail and premier banking at Techcombank, stated that the award acknowledges the bank's continuous efforts to pursue a customer-centric development strategy based on digitalization, data, and talent.

"This motivates us to continue investing in core capabilities, constantly innovate, and create increasingly personalized, convenient, and value-enhancing financial experiences for customers," Tuan shared.

In 2026, Techcombank expanded its digital ecosystem, notably with the T-Shop platform supporting business customers in their daily operations and Auto-Earning 2.0, which currently has over 5 million users.

In parallel with banking operations, Techcombank expanded its financial services ecosystem through Techcom Securities, Techcom Life, and Techcom Insurance, connecting needs from investment and wealth management to insurance. Techcom Securities has completed its initial public offering (IPO), while Techcom Life led the bancassurance market in Q1/2026 based on annualized premium equivalent (APE) revenue, according to company data.
