Techcombank launches 'vibrant Vietnam discovery map' to connect businesses

Techcombank has developed the "Vibrant Vietnam Discovery Map" on Techcombank OneU, aiming to connect retail businesses and household enterprises in tourism, food and beverage, accommodation, and entertainment with customers.

Through the "Vibrant Vietnam Discovery Map" on the Techcombank OneU application, local businesses gain access to over 25 million customers as they search for dining, accommodation, entertainment, and payment options.

The bank states that the program charges no platform or advertising fees. Businesses can independently create promotional offers, integrating them with payment methods such as QR, POS, and Scan & Pay to convert demand into actual revenue. Techcombank also supports up to 15% of the promotional budget, while consumers can accumulate and use U-Point reward points when making payments.

Participating businesses can be featured in categories like "Vibrant Vietnam Discovery Map", "Deals Around You", or "Great Restaurants Near You". The program is currently active in Quang Ninh, Da Nang, and Nha Trang, with plans for expansion to other tourist destinations in the future.

Beyond customer connections, Techcombank develops operational support tools for household enterprises. Using the T-Shop sales management application, businesses can manage sales, track cash flow, handle electronic invoices, and manage tax-related operations on a single platform. These tools are designed to be simple and user-friendly, meeting practical needs, reducing manual tasks, saving time, and improving management efficiency.

The bank has also added new features to T-Shop, including QR-based ordering, allowing customers to self-scan codes at their tables, real-time order tracking, and centralized financial management. According to Techcombank, these features reduce manual operations, ease staff workload during peak hours, and minimize service errors.

Transaction data generated within this digital ecosystem also provides a basis for businesses to access the bank's credit solutions. Techcombank currently offers loans with limits up to 30 billion VND, including unsecured loans of up to 3 billion VND for eligible customers.

This program launches as tourism continues to be a key growth driver for Vietnam's economy. Under the Tourism Development Strategy to 2030, the industry aims to welcome 50 million international visitors, serve 160 million domestic visitors, contribute 15-17% of GDP, and create approximately 8.5 million jobs. For 2026 alone, the sector targets 25 million international visitors and 150 million domestic visitors.

In addition to increasing visitor numbers, current tourism development focuses on enhancing the value of each journey through digital transformation and cashless payments. In this context, retail businesses and household enterprises, who directly shape destination experiences, play a crucial role in converting visitor traffic into economic value. However, this group faces challenges in reaching customers and optimizing operations as consumer behavior increasingly shifts to digital platforms.

Hoang Trong Hieu, Senior Director of Credit Solutions Development at Techcombank, states that Techcombank chose to focus on the tourism sector to simultaneously address customer access, operational, and financial challenges for retail businesses and household enterprises in a seamless journey.

"Applying digital solutions to daily operations helps businesses reduce errors, save time, and manage cash flow more effectively. The program also promotes digital transformation and cashless payments, creating a foundation for sustainable growth for local business communities", Mr. Hieu shared.

Beyond digital platforms, starting from 6/2026, Techcombank will also launch dedicated experience spaces for household enterprises at its branches. Here, customers receive in-depth consultation and can experience specific solutions tailored for them, such as the T-Shop sales management application, Techcombank Sinh loi tu dong, and the Techcombank OneU loyalty program. This model is currently being piloted in Binh Duong and Hai Phong, with plans to expand to many other locations in the near future.
