Currently, the city authorities continue to call for and select investors for the remaining locations, including FTZ 1, FTZ 6, and FTZ 7. Da Nang also has a policy to study expanding this free trade zone southward to create more development space and establish larger functional areas.

The Da Nang Free Trade Zone was established in 6/2025, with a total area of approximately 1,881 hectares, distributed across seven non-contiguous locations. The project includes main functional areas such as manufacturing, logistics, trade - services, digital technology industry, information technology, and innovation.
