Tuyen Quang Province is actively seeking to expand its collaboration with Japanese businesses, proposing partnerships in key sectors such as biomass energy, agro-forestry processing, high-tech agriculture, and sustainable forestry development. This initiative was highlighted during a meeting on 8/10 between Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Ito Naoki and the Tuyen Quang People's Committee, where discussions focused on the local investment environment and potential areas for cooperation.

Chairman of the Tuyen Quang People's Committee, Phan Huy Ngoc, noted that administrative reorganization has broadened the province's development scope, enhancing its ability to capitalize on advantages in land, forest resources, agriculture, processing industries, energy, tourism, and border gate economy. Tuyen Quang aims for modern, green, and sustainable industrial growth, prioritizing deep processing, agro-forestry product processing, clean and renewable energy production, and industries utilizing advanced, environmentally friendly technology.
Ngoc emphasized Japan's strengths in technology, management, supporting industries, and human resource development, which align with the province's development goals. Tuyen Quang is keen to increase engagement with Japanese businesses to identify specific needs, propose suitable projects, and attract more foreign direct investment (FDI).

Ambassador Ito Naoki affirmed that a recent site visit to various projects and businesses provided valuable insights into Tuyen Quang's development potential and priority investment sectors. He noted a growing interest among Japanese companies in cooperation opportunities across Vietnamese localities. The Japanese Embassy plans to continue discussions with the province on mutually beneficial areas, aiming to implement appropriate projects.
Key areas of mutual interest include: biomass energy, processing industries, high-tech agriculture, sustainable forestry development, environmental protection, green transition, and human resource training.

Chairman Ngoc reiterated the province's commitment to a long-term cooperative relationship with Japan. He pledged to protect the legitimate rights and interests of investors and to foster a transparent, safe, and equal investment environment. The province also requested the Embassy's continued support in connecting and introducing Japanese businesses to explore investment opportunities.
Both sides anticipate ongoing information exchange regarding priority project lists, provincial plans, and policies, which will serve as a basis for materializing cooperation opportunities.

Before the meeting, the Japanese Embassy delegation conducted a survey of the Tuyen Quang Biomass Power Plant Project by Erex Group at Xuan Van Industrial Cluster, Xuan Van commune, and Woodsland Tuyen Quang Joint Stock Company at Thang Quan Industrial Cluster, Yen Son commune.
