Specifically, VietinBank will automatically update tax codes for individuals and household businesses based on personal identification numbers, including chip-based citizen identity cards or level 2 VNeID account identification codes. The individual tax code will be replaced by the customer's identification number, and the household business tax code will be replaced by the identification number of the head of the household or legal representative.

The update applies to customers who have registered their tax codes with VietinBank and whose information matches the national population database. This process will be automatic from July, unless adjustments or additions to identification information are needed.
According to a bank representative, this solution follows the regulations of Circular 86 issued by the Ministry of Finance in 2024, aiming to unify tax codes with personal identification numbers. The update ensures data consistency, increases accuracy on invoices and bank transaction documents, and simplifies tax filing and administrative procedures for citizens.
In cases where information isn't synchronized, customers can visit the nearest branch or transaction office to update their information or contact the hotline at 1900 55 88 68 or email contact@vietinbank.vn for support.
