According to a resolution recently announced by Vietnam Construction and Import-Export Joint Stock Corporation (Vinaconex), the dismissal of chairman Nguyen Huu Toi became effective on 13/2. However, the company has not yet disclosed the reason for his removal.
Nguyen Huu Toi had served as chairman of Vinaconex's board of directors for the 2022-2027 term since late 7/2024, succeeding Dao Ngoc Thanh. Following this, Thanh assumed the role of chairman of the company's strategic council.

Toi brings over 40 years of experience, having held numerous management and executive positions across Vinaconex's subsidiary companies and the corporation itself. In the five years prior to his appointment as chairman, Toi played a crucial role in establishing the company as a leading brand in executing key, large-scale transport infrastructure projects.
Following Nguyen Huu Toi's dismissal, Vinaconex's board of directors elected Tran Dinh Tuan as chairman. Prior to this appointment, Tuan served as a board member and deputy general director of Vinaconex.
Currently, he also holds senior leadership positions at several other companies, including: chairman of the board of directors and general director of Pacific Holdings, chairman of the board of directors of Vimeco, general director of Vinaconex Design and Interior, and board member of Vinaconex Quang Ninh Investment Company.

Established in 1988, Vinaconex is one of Vietnam's oldest construction and real estate enterprises. Initially a state-owned enterprise under the Ministry of Construction, Vinaconex participated in numerous large-scale infrastructure, industrial, and civil projects nationwide before its equitization. The corporation began restructuring after divesting state capital six years ago.
In 2025, Vinaconex's net revenue increased by nearly 25% to over 16,000 billion VND. The company also achieved a record after-tax profit, exceeding 4,129 billion VND.
The company reported that last year marked a significant advancement in aviation infrastructure construction, with its involvement in the Long Thanh International Airport project and the expanded Noi Bai T2 terminal. Additionally, Vinaconex served as a key contractor for important sections of the North-South Expressway Phase 2, including Bai Vot – Ham Nghi, Van Phong – Nha Trang, and Vung Ang – Bung.
