The company has also partnered with international firms to develop a 10 GW renewable energy project portfolio, overseeing its design, commercial structuring, and long-term operation.
In Northern Europe, VinEnergo has partnered with GreenGo Energy to develop 2 GW in Denmark and Sweden, with plans to expand to 6,2 GW across the region and Europe. In the Philippines, the company is deploying 3,8 GW of solar power projects alongside NKS Renewables Inc, URG Asia Corporation, and 11.11 Growth Properties. VinEnergo holds over 80% of the shares and serves as the primary implementing entity for these projects. Several projects commenced in early 2026, with operations anticipated to begin in giai doan 2027-2028.
Leveraging its battery energy storage systems (BESS) integration capabilities, VinEnergo manages the design, supply, and technical solutions for its portfolio. By Q1/2026, the international project capacity is expected to reach 20 GW, with the addition of at least 8 GW in Southeast Asia and Africa.

VinEnergo's comprehensive plan targets the development of 100 GW of renewable energy over the next three years. Of this, 50 GW will be allocated to key markets such as North America, Northern Europe, the Mediterranean, and Southeast Asia, areas characterized by increasing electricity demand and strong clean energy incentive policies.
The company is also exploring expansion into Central Asia and Africa, collaborating with governments and stakeholders to develop sustainable power sources. This initiative aims to provide businesses with access to clean electricity and contribute to global Net Zero targets.
To build a robust foundation for its renewable energy projects, VinEnergo previously signed cooperation agreements with international financial institutions to secure green financing.
Nguyen Anh Khoa, General Director of VinEnergo, stated that starting in 2026, the company will enter a new growth phase, aspiring to become a globally competitive renewable energy enterprise. He emphasized that the simultaneous deployment of a substantial portfolio across multiple markets showcases the company's project management and execution capabilities, further elevating the role of Vietnamese businesses in the global energy transition.

In 2025, VinEnergo commenced construction of the Hai Phong LNG Thermal Power Plant, a significant undertaking with an investment of approximately 178 trillion VND and a capacity of 4,800 MW. The company was also designated to invest in two offshore wind power projects in Ha Tinh, totaling 900 MW with an investment exceeding 39 trillion VND. Additionally, VinEnergo is involved in the Hon Trau wind power project, giai doan 1, in Gia Lai (750 MW), and has been approved as the investor for the Vinh Thuan wind power project (143 MW).
Launched in 3/2025, VinEnergo operates as a key entity within Vingroup's green energy sector. Its mission is to become a major investor and developer of large-scale renewable energy projects, thereby supporting Vietnam's Net Zero emissions goals. The company specializes in solar and wind power, implementing international technology and standards for safety and quality.
