A representative from SeaTown Holdings noted the significant growth potential of Vietnam's tourism sector, driven by increasing domestic consumer demand and a recovery in international visitor numbers. The Singapore-based investment fund expects this partnership with Vinpearl to serve as a stepping stone, enabling it to continue supporting Vietnam's tourism market through a new development cycle.
A representative from the Vietnam-Oman Investment Fund (VOI) observed that Vietnam's economy is one of the most dynamic in the region. As a bridge for capital flows between Oman, the Gulf region, and Vietnam, VOI chose Vinpearl as a strategic partner to expand its investment portfolio into the services sector. The fund believes Vinpearl's hospitality ecosystem will directly benefit from the overall growth momentum of the entire industry.
According to a Vinpearl representative, the new capital provides significant financial resources for the company's long-term expansion plans. "Successful collaboration with global financial institutions also demonstrates our operational capabilities and strategic vision", a Vinpearl representative affirmed. In the next phase, the brand plans to continue upgrading product and service quality to meet international standards and attract diverse customer segments.
The investors involved in this transaction are large-scale financial institutions. SeaTown, established in 2009 in Singapore, focuses on the Asian market. It is a company under Seviora Holdings, the asset management platform of Temasek. The Oman Investment Authority (OIA), on the other hand, is the sovereign wealth fund of the Sultanate of Oman, holding a diverse global asset portfolio and having invested in Vietnam through the VOI platform for many years.
Established in 2003, Vinpearl currently operates a tourism, hospitality, and entertainment ecosystem comprising 60 facilities across 20 provinces and cities. The company offers over 17,500 five-star hotel and resort rooms, 16 VinWonders theme parks, 6 golf courses, 3 international VinPalace convention centers, and a system of semi-wildlife conservation parks.
