10 schools with the most admitted students to National Economics University

Nine out of the 10 schools with the highest number of admitted students to National Economics University are in Hanoi, led by Viet Duc High School.

This year, National Economics University (NEU) welcomed over 8,900 new students. NEU announced the top 10 high schools with the most admitted students on 12/9. All of these are public schools, with nine representatives from Hanoi.

Viet Duc High School leads the list with 227 students, pushing Kim Lien High School to second place with 222 admitted students, after five consecutive years at the top. Most schools in the top 10 boast the highest admission scores in the capital, commonly around 8-8.5 points per subject.

Ngo Quyen High School in Hai Phong is the sole representative in the top 10 from outside Hanoi, with 128 admitted students.

Dr. Le Anh Duc, Head of the Training Management Department, assessed the top 10 as "fundamentally stable", noting insignificant rank fluctuations. According to him, this indicates NEU maintains its appeal to students from Hanoi's top schools.

Additionally, National Economics University compiles other statistics. For example, about 95% of new students have admission scores of 25/30 or higher; specifically for the group above 27 points, the rate is 40%.

About 80% of admitted students hold an IELTS certificate, with 90% achieving 6.5 or higher. This allows over 6,420 students to meet the foreign language graduation requirement upon enrollment.

National Economics University's admission plan for 2027 remains largely stable. A planned change is NEU's intention to discontinue combined admission based on international foreign language certificates and domestic competency assessment exam scores (HSA, V-ACT, TSA). Instead, candidates will use these scores for independent admission, while foreign language certificates will be converted into English scores or used as bonus points.
