Nguyen Thi Thanh, Principal of Nguyen Du - Di Linh Secondary School, announced this on 11/9. However, the student cannot immediately return to school as his health has not fully recovered.

"The school is committed to providing the best learning environment for the student," Principal Thanh stated.

Investigators previously determined that the student was beaten seven to eight times by a group of peers, both in classrooms and on school grounds. Additionally, one peer threatened and forced him to hand over VND 20,000-50,000 daily for snacks.

In mid-May, relatives discovered the student engaging in self-harm and rushed him to an emergency hospital in Ho Chi Minh City. His condition has since stabilized, and he has been discharged home for continued care.

Lam Dong Provincial Police have initiated criminal proceedings against an 8th-grade male student from the school for property extortion. Other students involved in the incidents are also facing disciplinary action, depending on the severity of their violations.

According to regulations set by the Ministry of Education and Training, students are generally promoted if they maintain average or above academic performance and conduct, and do not exceed 45 days of absence. Academic evaluations typically rely on various tests and assessments.

However, schools can grant special promotion to students facing health difficulties, family challenges, or objective factors that significantly impact their studies.
