On 12/7, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Ho Chi Minh City (UMP) announced the list of students directly admitted to its undergraduate programs for the 2025 academic year.
Of these, 12 students won national awards in biology, chemistry, and physics, and one student won an award in a science and technology competition. In recent years, only about three to five students have been directly admitted annually.
To be officially enrolled, these students must register their admitted major as their first choice on the Ministry of Education and Training's system or the national public service portal from 16/7 to 28/7. They must then confirm their enrollment online by 30/8.

According to the university's regulations, students who win first, second, or third prizes in biology, chemistry, or physics in national or international competitions organized or nominated by the Ministry of Education and Training are eligible for direct admission to suitable programs.
In addition, the university will admit over 2,570 students through other methods: high school graduation exam scores; a combination of high school graduation exam scores and international certificates; and a pre-university program.
For the combined admission method, UMP will award additional points to candidates with an IELTS score of 6.0, a TOEFL score of 80, or a SAT score of 1340/1600 or higher. In previous years, these certificates were used for pre-selection, depending on the program.
Tuition fees at UMP for the 2025 academic year are expected to be 30 to 87 million VND per year, depending on the program.
Last year, the standard admission scores based on the high school graduation exam at UMP ranged from 21,45 to 27,8. The medical program had the highest admission score.
