This year's high school graduation exam took place on 26/6 and 27/6, with over 1.16 million students, an increase of nearly 100,000 compared to last year. Students following the new (2018) general education program took four exams: literature and math (required), plus two chosen from nine elective subjects.

Geography, chosen by nearly 480,000 students, was the second most popular elective after history. This exam was the third and final exam. Students completed the literature and math exams yesterday.

Last year, the average geography score was 7.19, with the most frequent score being 7.25. Nearly 3,200 students nationwide received perfect scores, while almost 100 scored 1 or below (failing).

This year's scores will be released on 16/7. Students can submit appeals for re-marking until 25/7. University application registration and adjustments will be open from 16/7 to 5 PM on 28/7.
