The AJC announced its admission requirements on the evening of 21/7. Regardless of the application method, all applicants must have a minimum grade point average of 6.5 each academic year and satisfactory conduct.
For applicants using the national high school exam scores, the minimum score for groups 1 (journalism and publishing), 3 (history), and 4 (communications, advertising, and international relations) is 25/40, with the core subject multiplied by two.
For group 2 (theory), the minimum score is 18/30. Both thresholds remain unchanged from 2024.
Applicants using the combined method of academic transcripts and international certificates (SAT, IELTS) must have an average score of 7 or higher in literature or English across six semesters, depending on the specific major or group.
The AJC also released a conversion table for scores between different admission methods. A score of 18-20 on the high school exam is equivalent to a GPA of 21.95-23.58 on the 30-point scale, a difference of nearly 4 points. The difference decreases as both approach the maximum score.

Similarly, on the 40-point scale, the difference between methods is also about 4 points at the lowest level, decreasing as scores approach 40.

This year, AJC plans to enroll 2,050 students, the same as last year. The academy continues to divide its majors into four groups: group 1 includes journalism and publishing; group 2 focuses on theory; group 3 covers history; and group 4 comprises communications, advertising, and international relations.
The three admission methods remain unchanged: academic transcripts, combined evaluation, and national high school exam results.
AJC's admission methods and subject combinations are available for review. In 2024, the highest entry scores based on the national high school exam were for multimedia communications and history, at 28.25/30 and 38.12/40, respectively.
Tuition fees for over 100 universities in 2025 are also published.

As per the Ministry of Education and Training's requirement, universities using multiple admission methods and subject combinations must provide a score conversion table.
Applicants can register and adjust their choices until 5 PM on 28/7. They can access VnExpress's university search page for information on admissions, including subject combinations, tuition fees, and historical trends in benchmark scores by major and university. The system also suggests majors and universities with benchmark scores close to the applicant's scores from last year, based on their chosen subject combinations.
Online application fee payment is open from 29/7 to 5 PM on 5/8. Universities will announce their benchmark scores before 5 PM on 22/8.
