In 2026, the group of 8 public security schools will recruit new regular university students using ba admission methods: direct admission (1); combined admission using international foreign language certificates with the Ministry of Public Security's assessment test results (2); and combined admission using high school graduation exam scores with the assessment test scores (3).
For direct admission, schools consider candidates who are part of the selection round for international or regional Olympic teams, or international science and technology competition teams; and candidates who have won awards in national-level excellent student competitions or science and technology competitions.
Priority order for direct admission to 8 public security schools.
For admission method 2 – combining certificates and the assessment test, the admission score is the total score of the Ministry of Public Security's assessment test converted to a 30-point scale (accounting for 60%) and the international foreign language certificate score converted to a 30-point scale (accounting for 40%), plus priority points and bonus points. The admission score is calculated using the following formula:
Admission Score = Assessment Test Score * 3/5 + Certificate Score * 2/5 + Priority Points, Bonus Points.
For the final method, the admission score is the total high school graduation exam score for ba subjects in the chosen combination (accounting for 40%) and the Ministry of Public Security's assessment test score converted to a 30-point scale (60%), plus priority points and bonus points. The calculation formula is as follows:
Admission Score = Total Score of ba Subjects * 2/5 + Assessment Test Score * 3/5 + Priority Points, Bonus Points.
The public security school system uses hai foreign language certificate conversion tables for each of the above methods.
Specifically, if applying via admission method 2, candidates with an IELTS certificate equivalent to 5.5 or higher will have their scores converted to 7,5-10/10 points.
For admission method 3, public security schools convert foreign language certificates into the foreign language subject score within the admission combination and accept IELTS 4.0 or higher. This level is equivalent to 6,5 English points.
