On 23/7, the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV) announced its minimum entry requirement scores for the 2025 intake. These scores represent the total of three high school graduation exam subjects, including any regional or preferential bonus points.
The benchmark score of 22 applies to 12 subject combinations: D01 (math, literature, English), D03 (math, literature, French), D04 (math, literature, Chinese), D06 (math, literature, Japanese), A00 (math, physics, chemistry), A01 (math, physics, English), D07 (math, chemistry, English), DD2 (math, literature, Korean), D09 (math, English, history), D10 (math, English, geography), D14 (literature, history, English), and D15 (literature, geography, English).
International certificate holders can have their scores converted for both benchmark and admission consideration.

Compared to last year, the benchmark score for the C00 combination has increased by 1.5 points, while A01, D01, and D07 have decreased by 0.5 points.
Benchmark scores for the Diplomatic Academy are as follows:
High school graduates from previous years applying through the combined academic record and international certificate pathway will have the benchmark score of their graduating year applied.
The minimum score for applicants using A-level or International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma certificates is 24 (after conversion). The conversion formula will be announced later.

In 2025, the DAV plans to enroll 2,200 students. The four admission pathways are: direct admission and prioritized admission as regulated by the Ministry of Education and Training; high school graduation exam scores; combined academic record and international language certificates or standardized international tests (SAT, ACT); and a combination of international certificates/standardized tests and 2025 high school graduation exam scores.
Last year's admission scores for the DAV ranged from 25.37 to 29.2, with the highest being for the Chinese studies program under the C00 combination (literature, history, geography). For the English language program, the admission score was 35.38/40, with the English subject weighted double.
Based on the benchmark scores and the conversion table published by the DAV, applicants can register and adjust their choices an unlimited number of times until 5 PM on 28/7.
The online application fee payment period is from 29/7 to 5 PM on 5/8. Universities will announce their admission scores before 5 PM on 22/8.
