The Hanoi Department of Education and Training announced on the evening of 4/7 that the eight top-scoring students are:
1. Vu Khanh Chi, Ngoc Lam Secondary School.
2. Le Dieu Linh, Tan Dinh Secondary School.
3. Nguyen Quang Anh, Cau Giay Secondary School.
4. Do Manh Hung, Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted.
5. Nguyen Minh Huyen, Hanoi Star Interschool.
6. Tran Minh Khue, Thanh Cong Secondary School.
7. Duong Gia Linh, Chu Van An Secondary School.
8. Nguyen Khanh Quynh, Be Tong Secondary School.
All eight students achieved a final score of 28.75. Most received a 10 in foreign language, except for Khanh Quynh, who scored 9.75. In the other two subjects, most students scored 9 or higher.
Manh Hung, Minh Huyen, and Gia Linh achieved perfect scores in both math and foreign language, with 8.75 in literature.

In addition to the eight students mentioned above, Be Ngoc Thuy Nhi, from Van Ho Secondary School, was the top scorer applying for the Japanese language class at Viet Duc High School. Nhi scored 8.75 in literature, 9.5 in math, and 10 in foreign language, totaling 28.25. With an additional point for preferential treatment, her final score reached 29.25.
Nearly 103,000 students participated in Hanoi's 10th-grade entrance exam on 7-8/6. Approximately 13,000 students also took specialized subject exams on 9/6.
Four specialized high schools offered 2,730 places, an increase of 500 compared to last year. The total number of specialized classes is 78, an increase of 14 classes.
The benchmark scores for specialized classes ranged from 24 to 42.75. The highest was for the chemistry class at Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, and the lowest was for the history class at Son Tay High School for the Gifted.
For specialized programs, the final score is the sum of math, literature, foreign language, and the specialized subject multiplied by two, with a maximum of 50.
Bui Ngoc Ha, from Hanoi Star Interschool, was the top scorer in chemistry. Nguyen Duc Khai, from Archimedes Academy Secondary School, was the top scorer in math. Both achieved the highest score among specialized subject top scorers, with 48.
The remaining top scorers in specialized subjects all achieved scores of at least 43.75, with most falling between 45 and 46.

Successful candidates can complete enrollment procedures online or in person from 10/7 to 12/7. Schools that haven't filled their quotas will meet on 17/7 to review and adjust the benchmark scores.
