Nearly 352,000 students chose English for the 2025 high school graduation exam. The average score was 5.38, down from 5.51 last year. There were 141 perfect scores of 10, a decrease of 424 compared to the previous year. 28 students failed the exam (scoring 1 or below).
Six provinces and cities scored above the national average in English: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Phu Tho, and Nghe An.
Conversely, seven provinces did not reach an average score of 5 in English: An Giang, Cao Bang, Tay Ninh, Vinh Long, Ca Mau, Lai Chau, and Gia Lai.

The Ministry of Education and Training announced the high school graduation exam scores for over 1.16 million students this morning. Students have 10 days to submit an appeal for re-marking if they wish, with the deadline being 25/7. Students will receive their exam results certificate, provisional graduation certificate, and high school transcript by 22/7 at the latest.
The registration, adjustment, and supplementation period for university admissions is from tomorrow until 5 pm on 28/7, with no limit on the number of adjustments. Candidates must pay the online application fee from 29/7 to 5 pm on 5/8.

The system also suggests majors and universities whose benchmark scores last year were close to the student's current scores for each subject combination.
The 2025 university benchmarks will be announced before 5 pm on 22/8.
