Four advantages of studying the Cambridge bilingual international program at VAS

Students in the bilingual program at Vietnam Australia International School (VAS) benefit from a comprehensive, regularly updated curriculum and a flexible learning pathway.

VAS was one of the first schools to introduce the Cambridge program alongside the Vietnamese national curriculum (MOET), contributing to the formation of bilingual international education in Vietnam. After more than 15 years, Cambridge has become the most widely taught program in bilingual and monolingual international schools nationwide.

It is the most prestigious and popular educational program globally, rigorously assessed for teaching quality and outcomes according to global standards. Its qualifications hold lifelong international validity and are highly regarded by the world's top universities.

By studying the bilingual international program at VAS, students access globally relevant academic knowledge while developing a wide range of skills, critical thinking abilities, and physical and mental well-being. VAS has implemented extracurricular development programs for many years.

"Subjects like 21st-century skills, digital and global citizenship, university and career counseling, and well-being education prepare students to thrive in the new era," a school representative emphasized.

The bilingual international program at VAS offers three flexible learning pathways spanning 16 years for students aged 2 to 18. Students can choose the pathway that best suits their individual and family goals at each stage. Two of the three pathways offer a "dual degree" outcome, providing more options for higher education.

According to Cambridge International Education, a record number of students took Cambridge academic exams in 2024, increasing 7% to 13% compared to 2023, reflecting the global appeal of the Cambridge international curriculum. Specifically, 2024 registrations increased 7% for AS and A Level; 10% for IGCSE; 13% for Primary Checkpoint; and 9% for Lower Secondary Checkpoint. With over 160 years of history, Cambridge is now the world's most popular international education program with over 10,000 Cambridge international schools in more than 160 countries.

VAS offers practical training and early career orientation. With a wide range of Cambridge subjects reflecting current trends, students can choose based on their interests. They are also supported by personalized university and career counseling from grades 8 to 12. This long-standing program has helped hundreds of VAS students gain admission and scholarships to their dream universities each year.

The program also helps students discover their career aptitudes and identify professions suited to their academic abilities and interests, enabling them to choose appropriate subjects and develop effective learning plans to achieve their individual goals.

Highlighting a final advantage, a VAS representative affirmed the program's continuous innovation and trendsetting approach. The school consistently implements improvements each year to enhance educational quality and optimize the learning experience for students and families.

For the 2025-2026 academic year, VAS continues to implement significant improvements in facilities and curriculum across all three learning pathways. These include a focus on well-being education, developing digital and global citizenship skills, and schedule adjustments to promote effective and balanced learning.

VAS has incorporated AI into the curriculum for students in grades 1-12. Previously, VAS also introduced well-being education for all students from kindergarten to high school.
