FPT University expands program offerings with new majors

FPT University (FPTU) is introducing several new majors, including digital transformation, logistics and global supply chain management, law, and financial technology, to meet evolving market demands.

FPTU's new digital transformation major aligns with Resolution 57 of the Politburo, emphasizing the strategic role of a highly skilled workforce in areas like artificial intelligence (AI), digital data, core technologies, and the semiconductor industry. The program aims to cultivate a strategic workforce proficient in technology, capable of organizing and integrating digital solutions, and leading transformation within businesses, organizations, and communities.

Graduates can pursue careers as digital transformation specialists, technology project managers, data analysts, UI/UX consultants, and digital transformation advisors at corporations, government agencies, and tech startups.

The university is also introducing a logistics and global supply chain management major. According to the 2024 Vietnam Logistics Business Association (VLA) report, Vietnam's logistics sector is growing at 14-16% annually, with a market size of approximately 40-42 billion USD. However, the current workforce meets only about 40% of the actual demand.

This program aims to equip students with a deep understanding of operational processes and a global strategic mindset. It will cover the entire logistics process, from warehouse management and transportation to order processing and goods distribution. Students will also learn to apply modern technologies like AI, blockchain, and IoT to optimize operational efficiency.

Graduates can pursue roles as logistics specialists, supply chain coordinators, warehouse and transportation managers, inventory planning specialists, and operations managers in manufacturing and e-commerce companies.

FPTU's new majors also include economic law and international trade law. With the increasing prevalence of the digital economy and international integration, the need for specialized legal professionals with adaptability is critical. The law program aims to train law graduates with critical thinking skills and the ability to practice in a digital environment, equipped with knowledge aligned with global standards.

Students in this program can specialize in either economic law, focusing on corporate law, investment, and contracts, or international trade law, delving into legal issues related to cross-border trade.

Additionally, FPTU is expanding its information management offerings with four new business administration specializations: financial technology (fintech), investment finance, corporate finance, and digital banking and finance. This expansion addresses the increasing demand for professionals with expertise in financial management and adaptability to technology in the rapidly digitizing financial and banking sector.

Through project-based learning, real-world market simulations, and internships, graduates can pursue careers as investment analysts, digital financial security specialists, and stockbrokers.

With these additions, FPTU now offers 24 majors:
