Students can look up their scores on the city's Admissions Portal by entering their student code or registration number. Scores are also available on the Department of Education and Training's website and in the Hanoi Moi newspaper.
Admission scores for non-specialized 10th-grade programs are the sum of literature, math, and foreign language scores, with a maximum of 30. For specialized high schools, the score is calculated by adding the three main subjects to the specialized subject score multiplied by two.
The Department of Education and Training will accept requests for score rechecks until 10/7. Students will receive recheck results no later than 28/7.
Admitted students can complete enrollment procedures online or in person from 10/7 to 12/7. Schools that haven't filled their quotas will meet on 17/7 to determine additional admission criteria.
Hanoi's public 10th-grade entrance exam took place in early June with nearly 103,000 students, the highest number in the country. The city had over 200 exam locations and approximately 16,000 teachers involved in administering the exam.
According to the Department of Education and Training, at least 64% of students, or more than 81,000, will secure a place in high school.
Last year, the top scorer was Nguyen Hoang Minh Quan from Hanoi-Amsterdam High School, with a score of 48.5 out of 50 (math and literature scores doubled, plus the foreign language score).
