Successful applicants can complete enrollment procedures online or in person from July 10th to 12th. Schools that haven't filled their quotas will hold a meeting on July 17th to review and determine supplementary admission scores.
Nearly 103,000 students participated in the Hanoi high school entrance exam on June 7th and 8th. Approximately 13,000 of these students also registered for specialized exams on June 9th. This represents the largest high school entrance exam in the country.
According to the Department of Education and Training, at least 64% of students, or more than 81,000, will be offered places in high schools.
Last year's entrance scores ranged from 18 to 42.5 out of 50 (with literature and math scores doubled, and added to the foreign language score). Yen Hoa High School, Chu Van An High School, and Le Quy Don - Ha Dong High School had the highest average scores, around 8.5 points per subject.
Conversely, Minh Quang High School had the lowest average score, just 3.6 points per subject. My Duc C High School's entrance score was 1 point higher than Minh Quang's. These two schools had the lowest admission thresholds, both below 20.
