Students can choose one of two enrollment methods.
For online enrollment, students log into the city's online admissions system, select their accepted program, confirm enrollment, and print or save the confirmation slip.
If accepted into multiple programs (specialized public, non-specialized, bilingual, or French-enhanced), students can change their selection and re-confirm online before midnight on July 12th.
For in-person enrollment, students submit a copy of their exam result slip at their chosen high school. After the school updates the system and confirms enrollment, a confirmation slip is printed, and the student's online account is locked.
Students who wish to adjust their program choice (if accepted into multiple programs) must contact the school to cancel their previous confirmation before enrolling in a new program.
During the admissions period, enrolled students can withdraw their application if needed. The Department of Education and Training requires schools to facilitate withdrawals, remove names from the accepted list, and cancel online enrollment confirmations.
Schools that haven't filled their quotas will meet to review supplementary admissions standards on July 17th. Students accepted in this round will enroll from July 19th to 22nd, following the same procedures and document requirements.
This year's Hanoi 10th-grade entrance exam took place on June 7th and 8th, with nearly 103,000 participants. Approximately 13,000 students registered for the specialized exam on June 9th. This is the largest 10th-grade entrance exam in the country.
