Hanoi Medical University admission scores over the past three years

Hanoi Medical University's (HMU) medical program maintains the highest admission score in the country for the B00 combination, around 27.73-28.27 over the past three years, while some programs accept scores as low as 19.

Admission scores for HMU have remained relatively stable over the past three years. Besides medicine, the odontology program also has high entry requirements when based solely on high school graduation exam scores, ranging from 27.5 to 27.7. Both of these programs only consider the traditional B00 combination (math, chemistry, biology).

Last year, the university introduced a psychology program, accepting students with both the C00 (literature, history, geography) and D01 (math, literature, English) combinations. The admission score for C00 last year reached 28.83.

Conversely, several programs at the Thanh Hoa campus have significantly lower entry requirements. Last year, the medical laboratory techniques and rehabilitation programs accepted students with scores as low as 19. This is also HMU's lowest admission score in the past three years.

HMU's admission scores for 2022-2024 are as follows:

This year, HMU is admitting 1,910 students and introducing two new programs: social work and medical imaging techniques. The two admission methods are direct admission and admission based on high school graduation exam scores. While the combined evaluation of exam scores and international language certificates is no longer used, applicants with certificates equivalent to IELTS 5.5 or higher will receive a 1-2 point bonus when applying with their high school graduation exam scores.

Details on enrollment quotas, subject combinations, and tuition fees for HMU 2025 are available.

HMU's tuition fees for the 2025-2026 academic year range from 16.9 to 62.2 million VND. Compared to last year, this represents an increase of 1.9 to 10 million VND. Medicine, traditional medicine, and odontology have the highest tuition, while psychology and social work have the lowest.
