On the afternoon of 23/7, Hanoi Medical University announced the admission floor for its 19 undergraduate programs, ranging from 17 to 22.5. The admission requirements for medicine and odonto-stomatology remain as high as last year, despite the Ministry lowering the minimum score.
The program with the second-highest admission floor is traditional medicine at 20, one point higher than the Ministry's stipulated minimum. All other programs require candidates to achieve a minimum score of 17 to apply.
Hanoi Medical University’s decision contrasts with the general trend. All other medical and pharmaceutical universities are adhering to the Ministry of Education and Training’s floor of 17 to 20.5 for the three-subject combination. This is the lowest minimum score to date, especially given that the average score for the B00 combination (math, chemistry, biology) has decreased by 2.1 points compared to last year. The number of candidates with qualifying scores for this combination has also declined, as chemistry and biology are now optional subjects.
Hanoi Medical University's admission floor is as follows:

This year, Hanoi Medical University is admitting 1,910 students through two methods: direct admission and admission based on high school graduation exam scores. In mid-July, the university announced a list of 272 students admitted directly, a 50% increase compared to last year. Most of these students were admitted to the medicine program.
For admission based on exam scores, candidates with English language certificates equivalent to IELTS 5.5 or higher will receive a bonus of one to two points. Candidates who won prizes in the national excellent student competition or the science and technology competition but did not use them for direct admission will also receive a bonus of 0.25 to 3 points. If a candidate has won multiple prizes, only the highest-scoring prize will be considered.
Tuition fees at Hanoi Medical University for the 2025-2026 academic year range from 16.9 to 62.2 million VND. This represents an increase of 1.9 to 10 million VND compared to last year.
