The Hanoi Department of Education and Training announced the cut-off scores for 10th-grade entrance into four specialized high schools on the afternoon of 4/7. The admission score is the total of math, literature, and foreign language scores, plus twice the specialized subject score, with a maximum of 50.

Nearly 103,000 students took the Hanoi high school entrance exam on 7-8/6, with about 13,000 students taking the additional specialized subject exam on 9/6.
The four specialized high schools will admit 2,730 students, an increase of 500 students compared to last year. The total number of specialized classes is 78, an increase of 14 classes.
Admitted students can complete enrollment procedures online or in person from 10/7 to 12/7. Schools that haven't filled their quotas will meet to review and determine supplementary admission scores on 17/7.

Last year's specialized high school entrance exam scores in Hanoi ranged from 27.75 to 42.25. The specialized math class at Hanoi - Amsterdam High School had the highest cut-off score, requiring an average of nearly 8.5 points per subject. This specialized class at Nguyen Hue Specialized High School and Chu Van An Specialized High School were also among the top, with cut-off scores of 39 and 40, respectively.
The lowest cut-off score was for the specialized history class at Son Tay Specialized High School, followed by the specialized chemistry class at the same school with 27.95 points.
