Hanoi university of education high school announces class of 2027 entrance exam results

The Hanoi University of Education High School for Gifted Students has announced the results of its entrance exam for the 2027-2028 academic year, with the highest admission score being 21/30.

The combined score, out of 30, is calculated from the specialized subject and either literature, math, or English, depending on the chosen major. The specialized subject score is doubled.

The highest admission scores of 21 were for computer science (math-based exam), literature, and English. Chemistry followed at 20.25, and math at 20. The remaining majors had admission scores between 17 and 18.5.

The admission scores for the eight specialized classes, announced on 23/6, are as follows:

No. Major Admission score
1 Math 20
2 Computer Science (Math-based exam) 21
3 Computer Science (Computer Science-based exam) 17
4 Physics 20
5 Chemistry 20.25
6 Biology 18
7 Literature 21
8 English 21
9 Geography 18.5

The entrance exam took place on 4/6 and 5/6, with over 5,700 students from various provinces and cities participating. This high school, affiliated with the Hanoi University of Education, is one of eight specialized high schools in Hanoi and boasts the highest number of applicants.

This year's enrollment quota remains the same as last year at 420 students. Math, chemistry, literature, and English majors will each admit 70 students, while computer science, physics, biology, and geography majors will each admit 35. The top 10 students in each major will receive scholarships.

Applicants were required to take four exams: math, literature, English, and a specialized subject. The specialized subject exam corresponds to the chosen major, except for computer science, which offers a math-based option. To be eligible for admission, applicants must take all four exams and score at least 3.5/10 on each.

Admitted students will begin classes on 5/7.
