Hanoi University of Pharmacy sets floor score at 22

Hanoi University of Pharmacy sets floor scores between 20 and 22 for four majors, mostly a one-point decrease.

On the afternoon of 23/7, Hanoi University of Pharmacy announced its admission floor scores and the equivalent conversion scores between different admission methods.

For the method based on high school graduation exam results (Method 4), the floor score ranges from 20 to 22. Pharmacy has the highest floor score at 22, followed by Pharmaceutical Chemistry at 21. The remaining two majors, Chemistry and Biotechnology, both have a floor score of 20.

For the method combining academic transcripts with SAT scores or academic transcripts with excellent academic performance in specialized classes (Method 2A/2B), the floor score for all majors is 19.

The method using the Hanoi University of Science and Technology's thinking assessment test (Method 3) applies only to the Pharmacy major, with a floor score of 18.

Last year, the floor score was 20-23 for the combination of three high school graduation exam subjects. Compared to this year, there has been a general decrease of one point in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and Biotechnology. The floor score for Chemistry remains unchanged.

The table for converting equivalent admission scores between different admission methods is as follows:

Pharmacy:

Pharmaceutical Chemistry:

Chemistry:

Biotechnology:

General conversion formula:

X = a + (Y - c) * (b - a) / (d - c)

Where:

X: Converted score to the original admission method - Method 4

Y: Admission score according to the admission method to be converted

a: Starting value of the score range for Method 4

b: Ending value of the score range for Method 4

c: Starting value of the score range for the admission method to be converted

d: Ending value of the score range for the admission method to be converted

For example: If a candidate achieves 28 points using admission Method 2B, for Pharmacy, the converted score to the original method is:

X = 25.00 + (28.00 - 27.82) * (25.50 - 25.00) / (28.37 - 27.82) = 25.16.
