On the afternoon of 23/7, Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities, a member of Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, announced its minimum admission scores based on the high school graduation exam and competency assessment results. These scores include any bonus points.

The university set two minimum admission scores: 18 and 20, based on the total score of three high school graduation exam subjects. Compared to last year, most majors saw a decrease of 0.5 to 3 points. The largest decrease was for the multimedia journalism and communications major, from 21 to 18. Oriental studies saw a 1.5 point decrease, landing at 18.

For the competency assessment method administered by Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, the university is accepting applications with scores from 620 to 700 out of 1200.

The minimum admission scores for HCMUSSH are as follows:

HCMUSSH is aiming to enroll 3,900 students across 37 majors, divided into standard and international programs. Four main admission methods are being used: Direct admission and prioritized admission as regulated by the Ministry of Education and Training and Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City; Admission based on high school graduation exam scores; and Admission based on competency assessment results.

Tuition fees for the 2025-2026 academic year at HCMUSSH range from 16.65 million to 72 million VND annually, representing a 3% to 25% increase for standard programs compared to last year.

Last year, the standard admission scores for HCMUSSH ranged from 22 to 28.8. The journalism major under the C00 exam group (literature, history, geography) had the highest entry requirement.

Currently, applicants can register, adjust, and supplement their university application choices an unlimited number of times until 5 PM on 28/7. Afterward, they can submit application fees online from 29/7 to 5 PM on 5/8.

Standard university admission scores will be announced before 5 PM on 22/8.
