"The official answers for all subjects will be published after July 5 on the Ministry of Education and Training's web portal," the Ministry announced.
This announcement follows the circulation on social media of purported answers and a scoring scale for the 2025 literature exam. The 5-page document, which lacks the Ministry's official markings, gained thousands of interactions, shares, and comments.

Over 1.16 million students took the high school graduation exam on 26-27/6, an increase of nearly 100,000 compared to last year. Nearly 1.14 million students took the exam under the new (2018) general education program, while approximately 26,700 followed the old (2006) program.
Literature is the only essay-based subject and the first exam administered. The remaining subjects use multiple-choice formats, including multiple-answer, true/false, and short-answer questions.
The literature exam comprises two sections: reading comprehension (4 points) and writing (6 points). The reading comprehension section featured an excerpt from Nguyen Minh Chau's "Different Skies," asking about the role of specific details and the effect of rhetorical devices.
The writing section contained two questions, both related to "Different Skies." The literary analysis question asked students to analyze Le's feelings for Son. The social commentary question prompted discussion on the theme "every hometown sky is the Fatherland's sky," drawing on students' understanding of the country's current significant changes.
Many teachers noted the exam's adherence to the structure of the Ministry's sample exam released last year. The question types aligned with the cognitive levels outlined in the sample exam's matrix. The essay question, connecting to the context of provincial mergers, received praise, with teachers predicting scores mostly in the 6-7 range.
Exam scores are expected to be released on 16/7. Students will then have 10 days to request a review of their scores if needed.
