This year's high school graduation exam took place on 26/6 and 27/6, with over 1.16 million students participating, an increase of nearly 100,000 compared to last year. Students following the new national curriculum (2018) took four exams: literature and math (required), and two electives. Around 72,700 students chose biology as an elective.
The 50-minute biology exam includes 18 multiple-choice questions (A, B, C, or D), 4 true/false questions, and 6 short-answer questions.

Last year, the average score for the biology exam was 6.28. Thirty-four students achieved perfect scores. Nearly 46,000 exams received failing grades (1 or below), equivalent to about 13.4%.
This year's exam scores will be released on 16/7. Students can submit requests for exam re-marking until 25/7. University application registration and adjustments will be open from 16/7 to 5 PM on 28/7.
