Look up Ho Chi Minh City 10th grade exam scores
Parents can also view results on the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training's 10th grade admissions page.
On the morning of 23/6, the Department also announced the benchmark scores for specialized and integrated high schools. Successful candidates can enroll this afternoon until 25/6. Otherwise, they will be transferred to the regular 10th grade admissions process. Regular admission scores will be announced on 26/6.
The admission score for the regular program is the total score of three subjects: Literature, Math, and Foreign Language, plus any priority points. Students must take all three exams, adhere to exam regulations, and not fail any subject (receive a score of 0).
Student preferences are considered in order. Based on each school's quota, the Department reviews applications from highest to lowest scores until all spots are filled. The benchmark score for subsequent choices cannot be lower than the previous ones.
The admission score for the specialized program is the total score of the three general subjects (coefficient of 1), plus the specialized subject score (coefficient of 2), with each exam requiring a minimum score of 2.

Last week, after completing the grading, some examiners reported positive math scores. About 60-65% of the exam papers in their grading group scored 5 or higher, but few achieved a perfect 10. Citywide, 36 students achieved perfect scores, compared to 49 last year.
For Literature, scores clustered around 6.5-7, similar to last year, with only two exams scoring 9.5. Meanwhile, many grading groups noted that about 30% of English exams were below average. The common score range was 6-7. The number of perfect scores was about 1/3 of last year's (1,700).
However, approximately 76,000 students took the 10th-grade entrance exam this year, compared to over 98,000 last year.
With fewer test-takers and public schools offering around 70,000 places, the passing rate is over 91%. Many teachers believe the benchmark score for regular admissions might decrease slightly or remain the same.
For the past three years, Nguyen Thuong Hien High School has consistently led with benchmark scores of 24 or higher. Familiar names in the top 10 typically have scores above 22, including Nguyen Huu Huan High School, Gia Dinh High School, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School, Phu Nhuan High School, Mac Dinh Chi High School, Le Quy Don High School, and Nguyen Huu Cau High School.
