On 4/5, the Department of Education and Training (So Giao duc va Dao tao) announced the first-preference registration data for general, integrated, and specialized classes.
Le Hong Phong Specialized High School received over 5,700 applications, 1.5 times more than last year. Its competition ratio significantly increased from 4.9 to 7.13. Similarly, Tran Dai Nghia Specialized High School saw over 2,500 applicants, an increase of nearly 900, raising its competition ratio from 3.5 to 4.8.
Over 1,300 students applied to Le Quy Don Specialized High School in the Ba Ria - Vung Tau area, resulting in a competition ratio of 2.52, up from 2 last year.
Based on available slots and registered students, the competition ratios for the four specialized high schools in Ho Chi Minh City are as follows:

The competition ratio for Ho Chi Minh City's 165 public high schools also reflects increasing demand.
Parents and students can consider and adjust their 10th grade preferences until 17:00 on 8/5.
This year, Ho Chi Minh City has over 169,000 students graduating from junior high school. Over 17,800 of these students have opted out of the public 10th grade entrance race. The exam is scheduled for 1-2/6 and will cover three subjects: Mathematics, Literature, and a foreign language (primarily English). Students applying to specialized schools will take an additional corresponding specialized subject exam. In Thanh An island commune, Con Dao special administrative region, schools admit 10th grade students based on their academic records.
