Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics sets minimum admission score at 20

Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (UEH) will accept applications from candidates with a minimum score of 20, while the Vinh Long campus has set its minimum score at 16, the same as last year.

On the afternoon of 21/7, UEH announced the minimum entry requirements for its three admission methods. These are the minimum scores applicants need to achieve to apply to the university.

For admission based on the 2025 high school graduation exam, the minimum score is 20 for programs in Ho Chi Minh City and 16 for the Vinh Long campus. For admission based on academic transcripts, applicants must achieve 22 and 19.5 points respectively.

Applicants using the combined results of the Ho Chi Minh City National University's Competency Assessment and English proficiency test must achieve minimum scores of 702/1200 and 601 respectively.

The V-SAT competency assessment score from Can Tho University is only used for admission to the Vinh Long campus, with a minimum score of 225/450.

This year, UEH is admitting 8,600 students across its Ho Chi Minh City and Vinh Long campuses. In addition to the methods mentioned, the university also offers direct admission according to Ministry of Education and Training regulations and considers applications from international high school graduates with international certifications.

In 2024, the benchmark scores based on the high school graduation exam results ranged from 25.3 to 27.2 for the Ho Chi Minh City campus. The highest benchmark score was for the marketing technology program. At the Vinh Long campus, entry scores ranged from 17 to 22.

Currently, applicants can register, adjust, and supplement their university application choices an unlimited number of times until 5 PM on 28/7. They can then submit application fees online from 29/7 to 5 PM on 5/8.

Applicants can visit VnExpress's university search page to view benchmark score fluctuations over the years by program and university. The system also suggests programs and universities whose previous year's benchmark scores are close to the applicant's current scores for each subject combination.

University benchmark scores will be announced before 5 PM on 22/8.
