Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry sets minimum admission score of 17-19

Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry (IUH) has set its minimum admission score at 17-19, depending on the program. The law faculty has additional criteria.

The university announced the minimum scores, based on the 2025 high school graduation exam, on the afternoon of 22/7. These scores represent the total of three subjects in a combination, before multipliers and bonus points are applied.

For law programs (including regular and English-enhanced programs), the minimum score is 18, with a minimum score of 6 in either literature or math. The pharmacy program requires a minimum score of 19, in accordance with Ministry of Education and Training regulations for healthcare fields.

Admission score calculation formula for IUH

For academic transcript-based admissions at the Ho Chi Minh City campus, applicants need an average grade of at least 21 in three subjects in their chosen combination in 12th grade, excluding bonus points. Law program applicants also need at least a 6 in both math and literature. The pharmacy program requires a transcript score of at least 24, along with excellent academic standing in 12th grade.

For admissions based on the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment test, the minimum score is 650/1,200 for regular programs and 600/1,200 for English-enhanced programs. For law programs, the minimum score is 720, with at least 180 in both Vietnamese and math.

At the Quang Ngai campus, the minimum score for transcript-based admissions is 19, and 600 for the competency assessment test.

IUH is accepting over 10,000 students this year through high school graduation exam scores, academic transcripts, competency assessment results, and direct admission.

Last year, IUH's admission scores ranged from 18-26 based on the high school graduation exam results. International business and economic law had the highest entry requirements.

Tuition fees for over 100 universities in 2025 - University admission score predictions

Currently, students can register, adjust, and add university application choices an unlimited number of times until 5 pm on 28/7. Application fees can be paid online from 29/7 to 5 pm on 5/8.

Students can visit VnExpress's University Search page to see how admission scores have changed over the years by program and university. The system also suggests programs and universities with admission scores close to the students' scores in each subject combination from last year.

University admission scores will be announced before 5 pm on 22/8.
