Compared to last year, HUIT's threshold has decreased by 1 to 4 points for several majors in management, economics, services, law, information technology, and languages. The threshold for technology and engineering majors remains at 16.
According to Pham Thai Son, Director of the Center for Admissions and Communications at HUIT, the reason for the decrease is the lower high school graduation exam scores, especially in math and English – two subjects included in most admissions combinations.
Applicants using academic transcripts for admission need a minimum score of 20. The minimum score for the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment test is 600/1,200, except for law, which requires 720. For the Ho Chi Minh City University of Education's specialized competency assessment test, the minimum score is 5/10.
This year, HUIT aims to enroll 8,300 students. In addition to the methods mentioned above, the university also offers direct admission and combined admission based on specialized competency assessment tests and academic transcripts.
Tuition fees for HUIT's bachelor's programs range from 110 to 116 million VND for the entire course, a 3 to 5 million VND increase compared to last year. Engineering programs cost approximately 139 to 144 million VND.
