The final round took place at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) on 12/7 with 21 competing teams from School of Electrical Engineering - Hanoi University of Science and Technology (SEEE), Thuy Loi University (TLU), Thai Nguyen University of Technology (TNUT), Hung Yen University of Technology and Education (UTEHY), University of Transport and Communications (UTC), Hanoi University of Industry (HAUI), University of Danang - University of Science and Technology (UD-DUT), and others.

MECA 2025 aims to nurture and develop young engineers, contributing to a sustainable society. The competition provides access to Mitsubishi Electric's modern equipment, helping students apply theoretical knowledge to practice by designing and manufacturing highly applicable machinery.

This year, participating teams needed to devise machine design solutions that ensured efficiency, optimized costs, and addressed real-world challenges faced by businesses. MECA 2025 focused on technical skills and encouraged students to develop soft skills like idea presentation and persuasive argumentation. A highlight of the competition was the requirement for teams to present their solutions to a judging panel comprising representatives from the Vietnam Automation Association (VAA), business leaders, and university representatives.

"This is an opportunity for students to be evaluated and receive direct feedback from leading figures in the industry," a representative of the organizing committee emphasized.

In the final round, the 21 teams presented and defended their automation projects before the judging panel. The creative ideas and practical applications of the competing teams left a strong impression, affirming the talent and potential of Vietnam's young engineers.

After intense competition, team NexCore from IUH won the championship with their project "Automated Electronic Component Placement Machine using Surface Mount Technology".

Mitsubishi Electric Cup Automation 2025 has encouraged students to move beyond theory and towards practical innovation. The competition creates opportunities for students to apply creative thinking, fostering scientific exchange between universities, and contributing to improving the quality of young engineers for Vietnam's industrial sector. Through this, young engineers can demonstrate their expertise and hone the skills necessary to become leading automation specialists.

"Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam is committed to accompanying the younger generation, providing opportunities for talent to break through and shine in the future," affirmed a representative of the competition's organizing committee.
