Minimum admission scores for over 200 universities announced

Over 200 universities have announced their minimum admission scores based on the high school graduation exam results. The highest score required is 25, the lowest is 13, and the most common range is 15-19.

These are the total scores of three subjects required for applicants to be eligible to apply to universities.

The Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam and Saigon University are leading the pack, requiring a minimum score of 25 for some programs. Following closely behind is the Foreign Trade University with a range of 23-24.

A minimum score of 24 is also required for certain programs at the University of Engineering and Technology (Vietnam National University, Hanoi), Hanoi National University of Education, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, and Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City (VNUHCM) - University of Science.

On the other end of the spectrum, some universities have set their minimum scores at 13-14, equivalent to less than 5 points per subject. These include Quang Trung University (Gia Lai), Labor and Social Affairs University, Hung Yen University of Technology and Education, and Quang Nam University (Da Nang).

Applicants can use resources such as the VnExpress University Search page to access further information on admissions, including subject combinations, tuition fees, and trends in benchmark scores over the years for various programs and universities. The system also provides suggestions for programs and universities with benchmark scores from last year's high school graduation exam results, close to the applicant's current score.

The minimum scores for 112 universities are as follows:

Medical programs: 20.5/30 high school graduation exam score and 20/100 assessment score

Based on these minimum scores, applicants can register and adjust their university application choices an unlimited number of times on the Ministry of Education and Training's system until 5 PM on 28/7.

Application fees can be submitted online from 29/7 to 5 PM on 5/8. Universities will announce their benchmark scores before 5 PM on 22/8.
