Ministry of education to release high school graduation exam score distribution tomorrow afternoon

The 2025 high school graduation exam score distribution will be released by the ministry of education on the afternoon of 15/7, before students receive their individual scores, marking a first-time occurrence.

The ministry of education and training announced on the evening of 14/7 that it will release the score distribution for the 2025 high school graduation exam tomorrow afternoon. Individual exam scores will still be released at 8 a.m. on 16/7. Students can check their scores on VnExpress at: https://diemthi.vnexpress.net.

This is unprecedented. In previous years, the ministry released the score distribution for all graduation exam subjects and traditional university admission combinations on the same day that individual scores were announced. The score distribution serves as a reference for students before they submit their university applications.

The high school graduation exam took place on 26-27/6 with over 1.16 million students participating. Nearly 1.14 million students took the exam under the new general education program (2018), and over 26,700 followed the old program (2006).

Students under the new program took two compulsory subjects: Vietnamese literature and math, along with two elective subjects chosen from: chemistry, physics, biology, history, geography, economics and law education, computer science, agricultural technology, industrial technology, and foreign languages (7 languages).

Students under the old program took Vietnamese literature, math, a foreign language, and an elective subject in either natural sciences (chemistry, physics, biology) or social sciences (history, geography, civic education).

After receiving their scores on 16/7, students have 10 days to submit a request for re-marking if they wish, with the deadline being 25/7. Students will receive their official score reports, provisional graduation certificates, and high school transcripts by 22/7 at the latest.

2025 high school graduation exam scoring formula

The registration, adjustment, and supplementation period for university applications is from 16/7 to 5 p.m. on 28/7, with no limit on the number of adjustments. Students can pay the application fee online from 29/7 to 5 p.m. on 5/8.

To access information about universities before applying, students can visit VnExpress's university search page to view benchmark fluctuations over the years by major, university, or tuition fees. The system also suggests majors and universities from last year with benchmarks close to the scores students achieved for each subject combination.

University benchmarks will be announced before 5 p.m. on 22/8.
