This year, the nation recognized 11 top scorers across various subject combinations: A00 (math, physics, chemistry), B00 (math, chemistry, biology), A01 (math, physics, English), C00 (literature, history, geography), and D01 (math, literature, English).
Before the Ministry of Education and Training closed the university admissions registration system on the afternoon of 14/7, these students had finalized their preferences. They hold a nearly 100% chance of admission, though they may still need to meet specific supplementary criteria of individual universities.
A significant number of these top students are pursuing careers in healthcare and education. Diem My, Yen Nhi, and Hai Lam—three of the four top scorers in B00—all chose medicine at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ho Chi Minh City. The remaining B00 student, Quang Thang, will study biology education at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education.
This trend extends to other subject groups. Thai Son, the top scorer in A01, will pursue mathematics education, taught in English. Thanh Binh, the top scorer in C00, will study geography. Both will attend Hanoi University of Education.
Technology fields also attracted top talent. Khac Cong, the top scorer in A00, registered for information technology at the University of Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. Similarly, Quang Minh, a top scorer in A01, chose information technology at Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
Meanwhile, Huong Giang, another top scorer in A01, opted to study computer science abroad at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), having secured a full scholarship.
